Amware Logistics Marks 20th Anniversary
05/26/2009
Amware’s 20th year.
Reflections of past successes and a future focused on perfection.
As we proudly celebrate our 20 year history “storing product and loading trucks”, it is the look upon the horizon with a glimpse into the future that has us so excited at Amware Logistics Services. For 20 years now we have been dedicated to crafting customer-focused,quality-driven,cost-appropriate logistics solutions that smooth product flow, more efficiently manage inventory and reduce overall supply chain costs for any size organization.
We began by unloading trucks and stacking pallets ourselves-leveraging our grass roots knowledge of efficient warehouse operations is what has made Amware successful. While we have more, employees, technology and equipment than we had back then, it is our blue collar, ‘can-do” spirit that permeates through all the employees at every level within Amware that makes us a successful company.
To date, Amware Logistics Services, operates 19 (will be 22 warehouses by the end of ’09) dedicated contract and public warehouses covering more than 5 million square feet of space and spanning 9 states.
Over the past 20 years, our team of Craftsmen have been developing and honing their skills, and with their outstanding efforts we have been providing our over 1000 clients with value added services ranging from product consolidation, cross-dock operations, product inspection, JIT plant support, transloading, pallet exchange, pick and pack, repair services, kitting, packaging, logistics services to name a few. Not only have we become respected experts in our trade, we’ve become experts at the logistics and supply chain side of your business too in commodities such as beverages, furniture, food/grocery, building materials, high tech. HAZMAT and many more.
We sincerely appreciate the support of all our employees (some of which have been here for all twenty years) and their families, vendor/partners, and friends have given us over the years as we would not be
Amware assists with INDY Car move
05/01/2009
Amware Logistics Services recently helped the LDH Corporation with the movement of an INDY Car via ocean container. As Terri Davis from LDH described it (see below) is was a very smooth project with the Amware team working with Jaxport personnel to make it happen!
Terri Davis's Comments:
Recently I needed a 45’ High Cube Container moved off of Blount Island Ports in Jacksonville, Florida, and then taken to a warehouse to have the crate transloaded onto my inland carrier and have the container returned back to the ports. I contacted Mary Robbins at JaxPorts who suggested that I call Amware Logistics.
I spoke with several different people at Amware at different times and each and every one was extremely helpful.
After quoting to my customer, I contacted Amware to inform them of the dates to proceed. Mr. Butz informed me that they didn’t have a contract on file but he would be happy to set it up for me. They understood how critical this load was and did not let the fact that I did not have a contract on file stop them from moving forward.
I had requested to be notified when the driver was delivered. I was contacted by Ms. Hines and Mr. Butz. This is truly customer service.
LDH Corporation has Import and Export freight coming in weekly in United States ports. Depending on the delivery distance of the Imports, we most often have the containers stripped and transloaded onto our inland carriers. Honestly, this was the best service I have ever received from any Logistics Warehouse in the US.
I truly cannot say enough about the employees that I dealt with. They were knowledgeable, friendly and made certain that I was taken care of. I will in the future recommend Amware to anyone that needs this type of service as well as the next cargo that is in Jacksonville, FL, I will be calling on Amware.
Sincerely,
Terri Davis

It was a three month battle between all Amware Sites beginning January 1st and running through the end of March! The "Site to Site Challenge" pitted all APS Sites against one another as they worked to obtain education and training through The Federal Emergency Management Agency's Online Institute.
With up to a maximum of five participants representing each APS Site, competing Team Members were given a list of thirteen approved courses, offering training and certification in various Safety and Human Resources Topics. Training topics included; Effective Communication Skills, Leadership & Influence, Decision Making, Understanding Equal Employment Opportunity and Introduction to Hazardous Materials Training. Even Regional Managers competed in the Site to Site Challenge, offering motivation to all Sites in their Regions, and adding an additional twist to the Site to Site Challenge when they gave Sites the opportunity to earn tie-breaking “bonus”
Certificates that they had earned.
In return for all of the time they spent on training, the Winning Site was offered a fabulous prize package, which included; two (2) extra vacation days for each Certificate Earner, a fun filled Site Cookout and the opportunity to dunk a certain V.P. in a dunk tank! August 16, 2007: **Contest- Support Our Troops!!!**
I am sure that you know the close ties that Amware has with our military. Whether it be by personally serving, or having family members currently abroad, our team has been personally affected by the fight oversees. Our troops need all of our support. The website, www.anysoldier.com is a great resource to do just that. There you can find contact information and the personal requests of soldiers who are currently deployed. Above anything else, soldiers love to receive letters.
The contest is two fold:
1) The facility with the most letters sent to troops by their employees wins lunch.
2) The individual who sends the most letters gets a jacket.
The website will allow each person to request 2 addresses a day.
The contest will start today and end October 31st.
*Before you send your letters, email Tavon a copy at TavonB@amwarelogistics.com with your facility name in the subject line. This will count as your entry for the contest.
(Attached is a flier for printing with details on contest)
The Amware Executive Team is very excited about this effort to support our troops. Rob Doyle is happy to present the winner with the jacket and the winning facility with lunch. You are not obligated to participate, but are only encouraged to.

Sales Explosion!
Over the past 4-months Amware’s Sales & Operations departments have been hard at work, filling our Public Warehouses and boasting our brand name throughout the industry. Since this past November, Rate Quotations have gone out to over 58 Prospective Clients; in that time Amware has Signed 31 new Public Warehouse accounts for our Atlanta & Jacksonville operations. That’s an unprecedented return!
Rob Doyle, Vice President, noted “We’ve brought Sales & Operations together through teamwork, cooperation, and understanding; that hand-in-hand relationship is paying off and now we just have to stay on top of it all at the docks. The outstanding performances at the plant level have made it much easier to sell and market our services. Keep up the great work everybody, stand tall, be proud… you’ve earned it!”
